Nick Frost and Simon Pegg are reuniting on both sides of the camera for an enticing mix of horror, comedy, and ghosts in Truth Seekers. The project marks the first time the duo have written together since Paul back in 2011, and it is also the first TV project from their Stolen Picture production company. Frost will star a Gus, part of a longtime paranormal investigating duo, the pair have hunted ghosts all over the country with no bunker, deserted hospital, or creepy church left uninvestigated. It remains unclear if Pegg will be playing the second half of the duo, but we do know his character is named Dave. Amazon has ordered eight half-hour(ish) episodes, and production is set to start later this year. Speaking about the series, here's what they had to say.

“Simon, Miles and I, and everyone at Stolen Picture, are incredibly happy to be making ‘Truth Seekers’ with our new partners, Amazon Prime Video. It’s been nothing but a joyride in seeing this mad tale of paranormal conspiracy unfold in all its understated brilliance. Amazon’s commitment and support of the show, and of original programming generally, showed us that we couldn’t be collaborating with a bigger or better team.”

Pegg added;

“Nick and I are delighted that ‘Truth Seekers’ has found a home with Amazon Prime Video. We’re looking forward to working closely with them and creating something very special. These are truly exciting times for television, and I can’t think of a better partner than Amazon to accompany us on a return to the smaller screen.”

While the first film from Stolen Pictures, Slaughter House Rulez, was a box office misfire, any time Pegg & Frost team-up I'm immediately on board. We might have to wait a long time before they reunite with Edgar Wright, but it's brilliant that Pegg and Frost have found time in their schedules to make something together. Frost is currently filming Joss Whedon's The Nevers, and Pegg recurred on Amazon's The Boys as well as voicing The Chamberlain in The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance.
