Is Hollywood starting a new era of Musical movies? It seems so with Frozen topping the charts, Into The Woods on the way, Jersey Boys been and gone and now The Last Five Years starring Broadway star Jeremy Jordan and Hollywood hot property Anna Kendrick.

Spring 2015 looks like it's going to be a lot of fun with The Last Five Years on the big screen although while Jordan was great on the Broadway stage his character in Smash season 2 did leave a bitter tinge to the shows final season. I'm sure alongside Kendrick he'll win us over!

This one is coming out through Icon Film Distribution who are also releasing the AMAZING IT FOLLOWS in cinemas on February 27th. I highly suggest you check out both titles to make your 2015 complete.

Filled with the lively energy of New York City's cultural milieu, the film tells the story of the five-year relationship between rising novelist Jamie Wellerstein (Jeremy Jordan) and struggling actress Cathy Hyatt (Anna Kendrick). As Jamie's new novel vaults him to the top of the literary scene, Cathy is still doing summer stock in Ohio, and their diverging levels of success pose pressing and dire challenges to their love. The film tells Cathy's side of the story in reverse order, starting from the end of their marriage, while Jamie's version of events begins when the couple first meets.
