As Lionsgate UK releases SOFIA onto DVD and Blu-ray on 10th September, we thought we would have a look at leading-man CHRISTIAN SLATER’s starring roles.

SOFIA

When an unknown vigilante begins killing high-priority terrorists from America’s Most Wanted list, ex-FBI agent Robert Diggs (Slater) is requested to take on the case. However the enemy is closer to home than he could ever imagine... Starring alongside such Hollywood greats as Donald Sutherland (The Hunger Games) and Timothy Spall (Harry Potter), Slater sizzles in this edge-of-your- seat action thriller.

INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE

From Academy Award winning director Neil Jordan and comprising an all-star cast of Hollywood royalty (including Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise and a young Kirsten Dunst to name but a few!) this ’90s classic sees Slater in the role of intrepid journalist, Daniel Molloy, as he interviews a two hundred year old vampire (Pitt) about his intriguing life story.

ROBIN HOOD: PRINCE OF THIEVES

Forming part of another stellar Hollywood line-up, Slater stars alongside Kevin Costner (The Bodyguard, Dances with Wolves) and Academy Award winner Morgan Freeman (The Shawshank Redemption, Million Dollar Baby) in this ever-popular version of the Robin Hood legend.

THE NAME OF THE ROSE

In one of his earliest big-screen roles, Slater rocks the basin haircut as a young novice monk who must help his Franciscan superior (Sean Connery) solve a disturbing murder case in this mysterious thriller.

TRUE ROMANCE

Written by King of Cool, Quentin Tarentino, and directed by legendary film-maker Tony Scott, True Romance tells the tale of loveable rogue Clarence Worley (Slater) as he attempts to out-run cops and crooks alike with his hooker-bride (Patricia Arquette) and a ‘suitcase full of trouble’. Featuring appearances from an endless list of A-list talent including Gary Oldman,  Christopher Walken and Samuel L Jackson, this cult classic is not to be missed.
