Best wishes to ‘Revenge’ costars Joshua Bowman and Emily VanCamp! The happy couple recently tied the knot on Harbor Island in the Bahamas. The pair went public as a couple in January of 2012 and got engaged in May of 2017. VanCamp announced the happy news of their engagement by releasing an adorable photo of herself hiding her face with her hands, displaying her gorgeous engagement ring for all to see.
In January of 2018, VanCamp claimed that the couple was in no rush to get married, and in fact had not even begun to make wedding plans. Both Josh and Emily were busy on various projects in 2018, but she vowed to take some time off after wrapping up filming of ‘The Resident,’ and it looks like she did just that!
Getting to Know Josh Bowman
Joshua Tobias Bowman was born on March 4, 1988, in Windsor and Maidenhead, Berkshire, England. He is a well-known film and television actor. Josh attended Wellington College in Berkshire and then studied method acting at NYC's Strasberg Acting School. He made his professional television debut on the 2007 series ‘Genie in the House.’
He is most famous for his role as Daniel Grayson in the ABC hit television series ‘Revenge.’ He also had a leading role in the popular ABC family show, ‘Makes It or Breaks It.’ Other roles include the British series ‘Holby City’ and movie roles in the films So Undercover, Love’s Kitchen, Exteriors, Prowl, and 13Hrs. More recently, he appeared in the ABC sitcom ‘Time After Time’ and the film Doctor Who: Rosa.
Josh loves sports and enjoys playing rugby, basketball, and football. He briefly dated Amy Winehouse before he met Emily. He wanted to become a pro rugby player but managed to dislocate his shoulder twice and had to quit playing.
Introducing Emily VanCamp
Emily Irene VanCamp was born on May 12, 1986, in Port Perry, Ontario, Canada. Emily began studying dance when she was only three years old. She wanted to be a professional dancer, and at the age of 12, she was accepted into the prestigious École supérieure de ballet du Québec.
Emily didn’t become interested in acting until 1998 when she visited her sister Katie on the set of the movie Ladies Room. She was inspired to take acting classes and eventually found an agent. After landing a few television commercials, she earned a small part in a horror anthology series called ‘Are You Afraid of the Dark.’
The Canadian actress had lead roles in several popular television series, including WB’s ‘Everwood’ and ABC’s ‘Brothers & Sisters’ and ‘Revenge.’ She also played Sharon Carter/Agent 13 in ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ and ‘Captain America: Civil War.’ Most recently, she is known for her role in the Fox medical drama, ‘The Resident.’
The couple met on the set of Revenge. After a long engagement of seven years, Emily and Josh were finally married on Harbour Island in the Bahamas on December 15. Emily wore a gorgeous dress by designer Lela Rose during the private, intimate ceremony. Fans can see photos of the ceremony on Emily’s Instagram. The couple continued their honeymoon in sunny Miami, where they were seen smooching on a stroll with their adorable dog.
Aside from a few social media updates and occasional comments to the press, the couple has been very private about their relationship. During an interview with InStyle magazine back in 2014, VanCamp stated “I have a wonderful love in my life. Trust is the most important thing in any relationship because everything falls into place after that." According to Emily, the couple is eager to start a family.
