Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle held onto the US top spot over Martin Luther King Jr. weekend. The four-day holiday weekend brought in another $34 million for a current US total of more than $290 million.  Jake Kasdan's fun update of the 90s classic is also enjoying an incredible run internationally with more than $380 million. By the time you read this, Jumanji will be crossing the $700 million mark worldwide, and a sequel is surely on the way.

After starting its limited release in December, Steven Spielberg's The Post went wide and came in second place with $23 million for the four day weekend. A strong contender for a plethora of Academy Awards, expect The Post to stick around the top ten for many weeks to come. While a little under what earlier predictions had forecast, The Post is an improvement on the last Spielberg/Hanks collaboration. Bridge of Spies, opening weekend of $15.3 million back in 2015.

Liam Neeson reteams with Non-Stop and Unknown director Jaume Collet-Serra for action thriller The Commuter. The trailer looks a bit like Non-Stop, the poster borrows liberally from Taken, and the end result has generated an estimated $16.3 million. Fun fact, it's the lowest opening for a Neeson/Collet-Serra movie to date. If Neeson is really going to retire from action movies, perhaps he can get in on the recently teased Expendables 4

The Greatest Showman might have had a slow start, but the Hugh Jackman led musical added $12.5 million as it nears a $100 million domestic total. That milestone has already been reached internationally, and there's still more key territories to go. Insidious The Last Key slipped to fifth place in its second week, but there is cause for celebration as the fourth instalment of the horror franchise has surpassed the $52 million final US tally its predecessor achieved in just over two weeks.

Finally, Paddington 2 arrived in seventh place with an estimated $10.9 million. The charming sequel to the utterly endearing 2014 adaptation of Michael Bond's beloved creation hasn't had the same impact on US audiences. The first film launched to $18.9 million for a US total of $76.2 million, thankfully, Paddington 2 has already made more than $125 million around the rest of the world, which is good news for the previously announced Paddington 3.
