Production is well underway on the follow-up to 2015's Jurassic World, and the highly anticipated sequel has just revealed its brand new title. Now known as Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, the movie's tagline manages to squeeze in some Jeff Goldblum goodness with its foreboding warning that "Life Finds A Way."
The tagline is a reference to a line from Jurassic Park spoken by Goldblum's Dr. Ian Malcolm, although if I'm picky, Malcolm actually says "Life, uh, finds a way," which I think would have made for an awesome tagline.
Fans of Jurassic Park were thrilled earlier this year when it was confirmed that Goldblum would be back as Dr. Ian Malcolm for the first time since 1997's The Lost World. Like just about everybody who saw it, Independence Day Resurgence was a bitter disappointment, even a dialed up to eleven Goldblum couldn't prevent the belated sequel from being instantly forgettable. Hopefully, his return as the beloved Dr. Malcolm will be more memorable.
Producer Frank Marshall recently teased a big announcement was coming; he also revealed an onset photo the confirmed that some of the new film will take place on Isla Nublar in the now closed down park. Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow had to pass on the sequel as he was busy with Star Wars Episode IX, but he remains involved as a writer/producer. Trevorrow has previously commented that the sequel will be darker and more horror-driven, plus there's been rumours of an epic underwater sequence featuring a submarine and a Mosasaurus. All this and Jeff Goldblum, just take my money already!
Starring Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, B.D Wong, Toby Jones, Rafe Spall, Justice Smith, Geraldine Chaplin, James Cromwell, and Jeff Goldblum. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is directed by J. A. Bayona (A Monster Calls) and will be unleashed in cinemas worldwide on June 22, 2018.
