The teaser trailer creeped me out as did the teaser poster with Lili Taylor looking somewhat petrified, then came the poster with the hanging tree and now we have this somewhat bog standard glimpse into horror that doesn't seem deserving of the trailers or the posters that have come before. The subtlety has all but gone and the promise of a haunted tale so uniquely unnerving atmosphere surrounding The Conjuring seems to have been removed. Originally set for a 19th July release in the UK, The Conjuring will terrorise audiences this summer on August 2nd 2013.
