Planned to air on HBO in the US and the BBC in the UK. The Girl is one of TWO big Hitchcock features released this year and next depending on where you are in the world. In these two new clips from The Girl we get a taste of just how BRILLIANT Toby Jones is going to be in the role of Alfred Hitchcock.

The Girl has already had a DVD announcement in the UK for 7th January 2013 but there is no news of a US release just yet.

TOBY JONES stars as England’s most renowned director Alfred Hitchcock in the brilliant BBC film The Girl that tells the full story of his obsessive relationship with Tippi Hedren, played by Sienna Miller.

Alongside the excellent two leading stars, The Girl features a stellar cast of British acting talent, including Imelda Staunton (Vera Drake) as Alma Hitchcock and Penelope Wilton (Downton Abbey) as Hitchcock’s loyal assistant Peggy Robertson.

In 1962 at the height of his fame and creativity, Alfred Hitchcock (Jones –Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy), chose an unknown fashion model to star in his most ambitious film – The Birds. But as he sculpted Tippi Hedren (Miller –Factory Girl) into the perfect Hitchcock blonde of his imagination, he became obsessed with the impossible dream of winning her love in real life. His failure arguably destroyed both of their careers.
