The Wolverine gets International Motion Poster and One Sheet

Are 20th Century Fox Learning? Every image released so far from The Wolverine which hits cinemas in July 2013 has been about titillating the comic book fans rather than the fans of the X film franchises. Wolverine is going back to his roots in what looks set to be another origin story but we just can't be sure...

Based on the celebrated comic book arc, The Wolverine finds Logan, the eternal warrior and outsider, in Japan. There, samurai steel will clash with adamantium claw as Logan confronts a mysterious figure from his past in an epic battle that will leave him forever changed.

The details regarding the film are a closely guarded secret but I'm beginning to think that after all the mistakes 20th Century Fox have made in the past with live action titles from Marvel Comics, they're finally looking to make amends. Just look at this stunningly ambiguous first official poster from The Wolverine; gaze on in awe and excitement.

I remember watching X-Men Origins and recoiling in horror at what 20th Century Fox had created, I had barely recovered from the hack job that they'd done in X3 to one of the greatest comic book storylines of all time and then they gave us a Wolverine Shampoo advert that lasted over 90 minutes. I was battered, bruised and defeated... now they're winning me back and with rumours that Jean Grey (my all time fave Marvel character) might return in the form of Famke Janssen (X-Men, X2, X3) this could be the return to form for Weapon X that we've all been waiting for!

Now please go back to Daredevil which I REALLY liked by the way and then go back to Elektra and this time have the balls to stay true to the source material and make it one of the most violent stand alone action epics Marvel Films has ever created!
