.... and I've been to thirteen of those performances and let me tell you "I have been changed, for good" as a result. It's a truly dramatic and magical experience pulled together by a great cast over the years it's been running on the west end.

Making leading ladies out of talented individuals without a TV credit to their name, Wicked The Musical started out doing what the West End did back in the 80's and 90's when Lloyd Webber ran the show, lifting talent out of obscurity and placing them centre stage.

Idina Menzel, Kristin Chenoweth, Kerry Ellis, Ashleigh Gray, Stephanie J Block, Megan Hilty, Eden Espinosa and a load more names have gone on to amazing success on the stage and on TV since their sometimes award winning performances in Wicked The Musical.

There are a number of musicals on the West End at the moment that are coming to a close later this year that really don't deserve to come to an end but it's great to see that Wicked remains strong with this 2500th performance this weekend and then a stellar cast change over in October sees a good witch go bad as Louise Dearman returns to the cast not as Glinda the Good but as Elphie; A Wicked First!

However, a little bit of information on the cards since fans have wanted to see Wicked become a musical movie... are things progressing on the Wicked The Movie front? Whilst I was whisking my way through the special features of Universals Blu-ray release of Jaws I spotted a Wicked Poster, quite large on the side of one of their studio stages... if Les Miserables performs well on the big screen this winter, will we see Wicked rushed into production and if so, which lucky ladies will get to play the leading roles that have shaped so many amazing musical careers?

Congratulations Wicked, you're awesome!
