Wicked The Hit Musical is finally going on tour. Having been on Tour in the US and conquered Broadway for nearly ten years, the show is spinning off from the West End and will run concurrently at the Victoria Apollo whilst a touring cast brings the magic to the people of the United Kingdom who find traveling to the capital a touch too expensive and lets face it, you need to sell your first born to afford train prices these days.

However, Wicked The Musical for me is the best musical you will see so far in 2013. Having seen a number of leads in the role of Elphaba and Glinda, the musical constantly evolves and the story of hope and friendship is one to be cherished. There's no deny that Wicked The Musical is an epic night out for any fan of the theatre or the family.

I can honestly say you won't be disappointed with Wicked The Musical, with songs like For Good and Defying Gravity being featured in shows like Glee and of course the awesome horror flick Zombieland, you can't go wrong by opting to take a trip to the wonderful land of Oz when it comes to your town or city!

The shocking thing is, the tour is extending its visits to certain cities due to demand so get your tickets ASAP!!!! Take a look at the press release below for details!

Wicked has already been seen by over 36 million people around the world and has 6 productions running concurrently. The original Broadway production remains “Broadway’s biggest blockbuster” (The New York Times) where it is now in its 10th Anniversary year. The West End production is now in its 7th year at London’s Apollo Victoria Theatre, where it is already the 16th longest-running West End musical of all time.

Based on the novel by Gregory Maguire that ingeniously re-imagines the stories and characters created by L. Frank Baum in ‘The Wonderful Wizard of Oz’, Wicked tells the incredible untold story of an unlikely but profound friendship between two girls who first meet as sorcery students. Their extraordinary adventures in Oz will ultimately see them fulfil their destinies as Glinda The Good and the Wicked Witch of the West.

Wicked has music and lyrics by multi GRAMMY® and Academy Award® winner Stephen Schwartz, a book by Winnie Holzman, musical staging by Wayne Cilento and is directed by two-time Tony Award® winner and Olivier Award nominee Joe Mantello. Wicked is based on the acclaimed novel, ‘Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West’, by Gregory Maguire.

Wicked is produced by: Marc Platt, Universal Pictures Stage Productions, The Araca Group, Jon B. Platt and David Stone. Executive Producer (UK & Ireland): Michael McCabe.
