It looks like Zombieland could be coming to a small screen near you. Zombieland was originally written to be a TV show before the script was than turned into a feature film.  Fox Broadcasting and Sony Pictures Television want to get Zombieland the series on the air by 2012-13. I can't help but think the renewed interest in it becoming a TV series has a little to do with the success of The Walking Dead. 

 

 

Wernick and Reese (The writers of Zombiland) are extremely busy with a lot of other projects, but it sounds like Zombieland is a big passion for them. Reese had this to say: 

We always thought [it should be a TV series]. If you watch the movie with that in mind, you will see some remnants of the television show. We have the ‘Zombie Kill of the Week,’ which was always intended to happen every week. The movie ends on a cliffhanger; it doesn’t have a real resolution.
