An impoverished little boy from an interior village discovers the dark side of the Great Indian Wedding in his quest to get his favourite food - ice-cream, referred to as ‘Malai’ in his local tongue. Set in the rough rocky terrain of interior Odisha, the short film is a cinematic protest against the evils of caste hierarchy, female exploitation and child abuse prevalent in our society even in the eighteenth year of the new millennium.
