Ek tha Gaon” (Once upon a Village) is a documentary film about the ghost villages of Uttarakhand, a State in the Indian Himalayas. For the past few decades, Uttarakhand has been physically and culturally devastated by the wide-scale out-migration of young villagers and their families in search of economic advancement in India’s thriving cities.
