The Boy and the Snow Goose (1983)

A little boy befriends a Snowgoose from from the day of it's birth to it's adult years. when the Snowgoose reaches it's first winter it flies south leaving the boy alone throughout out the whole season but at winter's end, the Snowgoose returns and the friendship is rekindled
