Warau Salesman aired on Japanese TV for three years from 1989-1992 for over a hundred episodes. It stars a devious man named Moguro Fukuzou who possesses a sick sense of humor. Each episode he chooses a new “customer” who is in need of help in some way. He offers them the “help” they need but often with disastrous consequences.
