Screen One (1994)

Victoria Wood's first full-length screenplay was conceived after a long period of watching daytime and early-evening television, after the birth of her second child in 1992. Among the shows that Wood got hooked on was Cilia Black's Surprise Surprise, which "festered in my brain" until she came up with the plot for Pat and Margaret.
