The 12 O'Clock Boys is set to make it's UK Debut at Open City Docfest on Thursday June 20th. This extraordinary documentary following a wisecracking 13 year old called Pug who lives on a dangerous Westside block, has one goal in mind. Pug wants to be part of the 12 O'clock Boys; the notorious urban dirt-bike gang in Baltimore.

I'd like to think that Pug learns gang life isn't a way to succeed but I've yet to see the 12 O'clock Boys in action. Directed by Nathan Lotfy, the 12 O'clock Boys is a great addition to this years festival. Check it out and once you've done that pick up a copy of The Interrupters to see how some communities try to put an end to the cycle of gangs in their cities.

Who knows this gang could be a fluffy biker gang that throw roses to the people they pass... the roses without thorns that is, throwing them with would be very dangerous indeed.
