In what's set to be the biggest movie of the year, the MCU unites in full for the game-changing Avengers: Infinity War. Plot details remain a closely guarded secret, as all we really know is that Thanos (Josh Brolin) is finally making a play for the remaining Infinity Stones and every superhero featured in the MCU is appearing in some capacity.

If you were hoping that the newly released first official synopsis is full of fresh information, prepare to be disappointed.

"An unprecedented cinematic journey ten years in the making and spanning the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War brings to the screen the ultimate, deadliest showdown of all time. The Avengers and their superhero allies must be willing to sacrifice it all in an attempt to defeat the power of Thanos before his blitz of devastation and ruin puts an end to the universe."

I don't know if this is a popular opinion, but I am loving being mere months away from Infinity War arriving and knowing so little. Thanos vs Avengers with added Guardians of the Galaxy, that's all I need to know, I'm ready to hand over my money. While the synopsis reveals nothing we didn't already know (and that's a good thing), the words "deadliest' and "sacrifice it all" confirms that no all the Avengers will live to Avenger another day. As multiple cast member's contracts expire after the untitled Avengers 4, many beloved characters will meet their demise.

Before the Avengers do battle with Thanos, Chadwick Boseman returns as the King of Wakanda in Black Panther which launches in the UK on February 13. Avengers: Infinity War follows on April 27, and our third and final helping of the MCU lands on July 6 with Ant-Man and the Wasp.
