Power Rangers 20th Anniversary
So here's a bit of big news to start off today. Exactly 20 years ago today, the generation of kids that were born in the late 80s and early 90s had their first tv fandom truly take off - it was the premier of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Today though, we've had over 100 different rangers, several with long standing careers (such as Tommy Oliver, played by Jason David Frank), and a legacy of power that began with Zordon. On behalf of the nerds that grew up in the 90s, I salute you, Saban, for creating the legacy, and happy birthday to the series that we grew up with.
On the chopping block for gaming news today, we have a few stories about gaming releases. The first of these is the WiiU fall line up, which includes Wii Party U and Wii Fit U, as well as other games which you can find out about here. Another game, which will be for multiple consoles, is the Game of the Year edition of Borderlands 2, which I am a big fan of. No word yet on whether it will come bundled with DLC though. More on that over at Kotaku.
Trailers of the Day
Today we're talking about movie trailers. The first one is over at BeyondHollywood.com, and is the first trailer for the remake of We Are What We Are, which looks terrifyingly good. Again, you can check that out by following the link over to BeyondHollywood.
Our second trailer is a fanmade trailer for Man of Steel 2, which is made to make viewers understand that Ben Affleck may not actually suck as Batman. I definitely agree with that call, but check out the trailer, decide for yourselves, and I'll see you tomorrow.
