Hi-Octane thrills are on the way but having just watched the trailer for The Expendables 2 I have to say that I do worry when Sly puts himself in tropical environments... I'm always concerned his face will melt off. As you can see from the trailer below, the myth about Sly's melting face is not true and it is totally in tact throughout the scene in the trailer.... good stuff.
Prepare yourselves for enough testosterone in one place to destroy the ozone layer... in fact they had to shoot the film in a bubble the size of New York City to ensure the man power here didn't cause the earth's atmosphere to implode, explode and then implode again!
For Chuck Norris' appearance in the film, they imported a box created by the US Government to contain a nuclear blast... the first steel container they tried was too small and weak to contain the power of Chuck Norris but with the addition of this new container, the awesome power of Chuck was harnessed for the big screen once again... a Legend Returns!!! That's how awesome this film will be and if you've not seen the first film yet... you could always pick up the Director's Cut coming out soon.
The Expendables are back and this time it's personal... Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone), Lee Christmas (Jason Statham), Yin Yang (Jet Li), Gunnar Jensen (Dolph Lundgren),Toll Road (Randy Couture) and Hale Caesar (Terry Crews) -- with newest members Billy the Kid (Liam Hemsworth) and Maggie (Yu Nan) aboard -- are reunited when Mr. Church (Bruce Willis) enlists the Expendables to take on a seemingly simple job. The task looks like an easy paycheck for Barney and his band of old-school mercenaries.
But when things go wrong and one of their own is viciously killed, the Expendables are compelled to seek revenge in hostile territory where the odds are stacked against them. Hell-bent on payback, the crew cuts a swath of destruction through opposing forces, wreaking havoc and shutting down an unexpected threat in the nick of time -- six pounds of weapons-grade plutonium; enough to change the balance of power in the world. But that's nothing compared to the justice they serve against the villainous adversary who savagely murdered their brother.
That is done the Expendables way.... The Expendables 2 releases August 2012 from Lionsgate
