For all the Johnny Depp fans: Producer Jerry Bruckheimer tweeted the first photo of Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.

Captain Jack Sparrow is tied up by two other pirates in the photo tweeted by Bruckheimer. Bruckheimer tweeted: "Captain Jack is back, and we're not letting him go." Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales resumed filming only recently after production stopped for a couple of weeks because Depp injured his hand and required surgery. The shooting will go on for another three months for this Disney film. The premiere of the film is scheduled for July 7, 2017. This is a much awaited franchise on Disney’s list.

Along with Johnny Depp, Brenton Thwaites and Javier Bardem are starring in Pirates of the Caribbean 5, with Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg as directors for the film.

Fourth part of Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean franchise – 2011′s On Stranger Tides – made over $1 billion at the global box office. It is no surprise that there is another one coming out in two years. The Pirates of the Caribbean started with The Curse of the Black Pearl and was followed by Dead Man's Chest, At World's End and On Stranger Tides. The success of the Pirates of the Caribbean films can be attributed to Johnny Depp’s performance as Captain Jack Sparrow. The film has helped Depp bolster his career as much as it is the other way around. Depp had signed on to return as Captain Jack Sparrow in September 2008, and has always maintained that his comeback is motivated by a good script. Walt Disney had announced that Depp would be paid $55.5 million for the role, realizing that without Johnny Depp the franchise would be "dead and buried”.
