First up, I loved the first Silent Hill movie and although it wasn't as great as it should have been but there were moments that would make Clive Barker spill his happy juice all over the person sat in front of him at the cinema. Silent Hill has always been a Clive Barker-esque affair and it has scared gamers the world over a number of times now.

It's great to see that the story from the first film will continue on but looking at the trailer below it seems someone was pissed off that Freddy Krueger's return fizzled and popped and they're looking to show how nightmares truly come to life in 2012! Colour me impressed!!!

Heather Mason (Adelaide Clemens) and her father (Sean Bean) have been on the run, always one step ahead of dangerous forces that she doesn't fully understand. Now on the eve of her 18th birthday, plagued by horrific nightmares and the disappearance of her father, Heather discovers she's not who she thinks she is. The revelation leads her deeper into a demonic world that threatens to trap her forever.

On to the poster that appeared on the Silent Hill Facebook page... I say to you now... PLEASE don't use this obvious direct to DVD cover, it's just... it's dull and boring. Take a look!

PLEASE go for a more classical poster. The two main characters central in the fog as the darkness creeps towards them, the sillohuette of the dangers that Silent Hill holds in the distance... Warn of the coming danger, there will be new folks coming to the franchise that won't know of the madness in store and this just doesn't do the film justice like the trailer above does!
