The second season of The Sinner is about to conclude its run on The USA Network, and now we can reveal when UK fans can binge the whole thing. The acclaimed mystery thriller returns to Netflix UK on November 9 with all eight episodes being available for sensible or reckless viewing.
When producer and season one star Jessica `Biel teased that The Sinner could return, I (and many others) speculated that the natural way to continue the show was to give troubled Detective Harry Ambrose another baffling case to solve. The talented minds behind the series agreed as Bill Pullman returns as Ambrose. This time around, Harry ventures to and his latest investigation takes him to his old hometown to put the pieces together of a brutal murder seemingly carried out by an 11-year-old boy.
Jessica Biel gave a knock performance as the traumatized Cora Tannetti, while her story came to a natural conclusion there were talks of her returning in some capacity. However, Biel recently confirmed that there was no room for her in the story they wanted to tell.
"We did talk a lot about does Cora come back for season 2 and what is the relationship because that's what was interesting to me. What happens when a woman goes through that? What is life like after that when the only person really in her life that she can connect with, even besides her husband, is the detective who got her out of this thing? But we just couldn't do it this particular season."
Should The Sinner be renewed for a third season, Biel did tease that a return for Cora could be on the cards, maybe.
"It's possible. It is, I think – so I think I can say that. Is it probable? I don't know."
All eight episodes of The Sinner season two will be available via Netflix UK on Friday, November 9.
