HUGE things are happening at Walt Disney; in the 80's and 90's they ruled the big and small screen with animated classics retelling some of the greatest fairytales of all time, throwing in original songs and inspiring a generation that even the ugliest of ducklings can become a swan and behead a dragon if they just believed in themselves and were kind to others.

Now in a new era for Walt Disney they've found their second wind. After what seemed like a period of not knowing where they fitted in, the acquisition of Marvel Comics meant the studio found their second wind and ushered in a new era of entertainment. A new era that makes superhero franchises work, that makes them a worldwide box office smash and record breaker, a world of entertainment that tips its hat to the house of mouse for not forgetting its roots and also bringing back The Muppets to entertain kids as well as delving into nostalgia with Wrek-it Ralph! A new era where Star Wars fans can feel excited that in 2014 they'll find themselves faced with not ANOTHER rehash of a franchise they love by George Lucas.but a new installment that if going off Avengers Assemble aka The Avengers, they can certainly look forward to!

Then we have Big Hero 6, inspired by a Marvel comic and a brand new Animation from Walt Disney, it's not due out till November 2014 but the concept art and first look are immense. I may miss the wistful way in which the Little Mermaid sang or the adventures of Aladdin but this new era of Walt Disney is now... and it's perfect! What an amazing time for the company and teaming up with my favourites, Marvel Comics? THUMBS UP!
