Weekly Geek BUZ: Remembering Michael Clarke Duncan
112 Views 0 Comments September 7, 2012
This week on Geek BUZ, we'll be looking at a couple stories that hit home, and a couple of movie trailers for movies we can look forward to. We'll also be remembering a celebrity that passed away this week, and take a trip down memory lane.
Starting off this week, here are some trailers for upcoming movies. Let's kick things off with Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters.
This seems to be a trend lately. We've had Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and we're also getting Jack the Giant Killer. I'm not sure what it means, but I hope it doesn't become too popular.
Next up is the movie trailer for Atlas Shrugged Part II. Based on what this trailer shows us, I'm pretty excited about this one. Here's the trailer.
Based of Ayn Rand's novel of the same name, it's a movie that is definitely worth checking out.
Super Science Time Travel!
Okay, so it's not really time travel, but researchers at the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology have completely sequenced an Archaic Siberian girl 31 times over. Now, this is amazing news because it gives anthropologists a chance to really study this girl and the way of life more than 50,000 years ago. Not only that, but it means that comparative anthropology has a chance of understanding human origins, and we may be getting closer to the so called "missing link" between neanderthals and the modern day human.
Of course, I'm no researcher so I can't really say much about all the details involved, but if you want to learn more, you can check out Science Mag Online for more information.
