So this week was really slow in terms of news, so there isn’t too much to bring you up to speed on, but there are a few exciting stories, and we’ll begin with Thor.
The Big BUZ: Thor
So, there are two big news stories related to the Norse god/Avenger, the first of which relates to his upcoming movie, The Dark World. It was confirmed a while back, and now we have photographs which show Thor locked in combat with the vengeful Malekith, and I have to say, the images are looking pretty promising. You can check out the full images and a video on Geektyrant.
The second story comes, not out of Marvel, but from the Call of Duty universe. That’s right. With the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, comes an easter egg in the form of Mjolnir, Thor’s hammer, hidden in a cave in one of the campaign missions. Want to know how to find it? Well, Geektyrant can tell you that too.
So, are you looking forward to the next Thor movie? If so, are you going to check it out opening night?
PS4 Development Testing Begins
It’s been a few years since a new standalone console came out within the circle of the three major companies, but Sony has recently begun testing on its newest model, the PS4.
In terms of specs, we know that the dev kit that went out most recently is just a new version of the previous one, housed in a PC case. It’s based off of AMD’s A10 APU series, and has “either 8 GB or 16 GB of RAM.” It’s not clear to me what else we can expect, but VG247 has more information about what to expect and what the current dev kits are running.
Star Trek Into The Darkness Footage
More news out of GeekTyrant. If you’re a trekkie at all, then you know that J.J. Abrams is working on the sequel to the 2009 edition of Star Trek, and news out of Paramount is that starting December 14th, around 500 digital IMAX theatres will be showing 9 minutes of the film, as a first look for fans.
