The first big crossover, or one that at least has more relevance, is the introduction to the villain Vandal Savage and his history with Hawkman and Hawkgirl. In chapters 2 × 08 of Flash and 4 × 08 of Arrow, (Legends of yesterday and Legends of today) several of the heroes of the two series meet to defeat Vandal, who later will be the main villain of the first season from DC's Legends of Tomorrow. Right in the pilot of this series, the 1 × 01, Laurel and Oliver will make a small appearance.
